
Children’s author and illustrator Brenda Ponnay has created more than 80 books for young readers. During her school visits, Brenda shares the joy of storytelling and illustration while encouraging students to explore their own creativity and imagination.
What Students Experience

Classroom Visits
Interactive readings with discussion and student questions.
Author + Illustrator Talk
Students learn how words and pictures work together to tell a story. Brenda will work with the students to create their own character and encourage them to write their own stories.

Grade Levels
Programs are recommended for:
Pre-K through 5th grade
Visits can be adapted to fit classroom groups, assemblies, or library events.

Peg Finds Her Place is a story about fitting in, believing in yourself, and discovering where you belong.
Children connect with Peg’s journey as she learns that sometimes the thing that makes us different is also what makes us special.
